Responses for Rude Comments

As an influencer, as a coach, Iโ€™ve really heard it all.

๐Ÿ›‘ โ€œOur proprietary calculations and CPM (bla bla marketing buzz words) determine your rate to be (half of what I asked for).

๐Ÿ›‘ โ€œIf you use your iPhone can we meet at (half of what I asked for).โ€

๐Ÿ›‘ โ€œSomeone with more followers than you is asking for less.โ€

๐Ÿ›‘ โ€œWeโ€™re a small brand (that sits on the Fortune 500 list lol)โ€ฆโ€

๐Ÿ›‘ โ€œTony Robbins has a social media program cheaper than yours.โ€

And so many more. If this has happened to you, remember:

PEOPLE ARE PAYING YOU FOR THE YEARS (it took to build your expertise and community, NOT THE HOUR (creating content or servicing them).

If your patience is also running thin, hereโ€™s some thought starters for your response:

๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ While calculations like that are helpful, they donโ€™t take into account the value of my community and expertise in this space. My rate takes into account this and more.

๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ The quality of my work is very important, and I donโ€™t feel comfortable changing my existing process and style for this campaign.

๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ I donโ€™t believe follower count is the only metric to determine someoneโ€™s rates, as everyone comes with a different level of expertise and community.

๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ I hear you, Iโ€™m a small business as well and this rate takes into account the cost of doing business with me and my team who helps bring these projects to life.

๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ Wish them luck working with Tony Robbins :-)
