How to Create Organic Brand Posts
There’s a difference between ~working for free~ and creating organic content that features brands you love — that is, content that just naturally fits into what you’re working on or talking about that the brands you love fit into. And I’m going to need you to do more of this one.
Listen: as you build your online community, you’re essentially like you’re own mini magazine.
Magazines have EDITORIAL, non-sponsored content & PAID AD pages.
Creating ~editorial~ (aka “organic”) content is a great way to get on a brand’s radar and start to build the relationship.
Plus, that moment may generate some community feedback that proves your peeps are eager to hear more about that brand or topic.
And THAT is GOLD in the pitching process.
Some ways you can do this:
If it’s a product you own or an experience you paid for, give them a shout or informal review
Use Instagram Stories to talk about brands you love & tag them — this means you end up in the DMs
If you don’t own the product/experience — ask your community about it (Does anyone own this? I have this in my cart! What’s your opinion on...etc.)
Who’s ready to give it a try, or doing it already as part of their pitch strategy?
