I heard this sound and filmed it “for fun,” with no real purpose of using it for much and then as it’s sitting in my drafts it hit me:
It reminds me of the two different aesthetics I have between “disappearing” content vs. in-feed hahahaha
It’s not intentional, but I find myself using Instagram Stories to sort of “escape” curation and give you whatever version of me is available in real-time. Which sometimes means I’m in my PJs, hair’s a mess without a droplet of makeup, and probably dancing like nobody’s watching.
It doesn’t make my more curated feed content any less authentic to me — I absolutely love producing all sorts of content & have been practicing photography for many many years — it’s just a different VISUAL EXPRESSION of me.
But I can promise you this: both versions of me want the same thing. To connect through my real-time ramblings and happenings, or through my digital art.
So here’s your hall pass to “be both” the curated and not so curated whenever you need them.
