8 Time Saving Hacks for a Woman-on-the-Go

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pantene. All opinions are 100% mine.

January started off with a bang! And by that I mean, our schedules were probably entirely out of whack with 100 things to do and places to be. Working 12+ hour days means making the most out of my time and finding effective ways to stretch out the time we have.

Here are some of my favorite hacks to save you time if you’re a busy, young professional:

  1. After a meeting, immediately create a voice memo about what you talked about and next steps. Every morning, review and send appropriate follow-ups, calendar reminders, actions, etc.

  2. Keep your beauty routine quick and simple. Face: I have my wash, serum, moisturizer routine down and all products next to each other in my cabinet. Hair: I only wash once a week and the rest of the days I trust the new Pantene Waterless Collection. It keeps my showers to only a few minutes — check out more about this line below!

  3. Try uni-tasking work projects: put all your focus on one thing at a time and you’ll accomplish more in shorter periods of time. Being in full focus will help you get things done faster, better and you won’t waste time having to go back and forth between projects.

  4. Plan your day before it starts. I prefer to do it in bed the night before to crush the thoughts floating through my head. Bonus points if you do it weekly. Block out time for social time, work time, you time and commit these time blocks to your calendar.

  5. Turn off most app notifications and be more mindful and purposeful on when you’re checking your phone. Constantly getting pop-ups can be a big distraction.

  6. If it takes 2 minutes, DO IT. Getting that little task out of the way will save you loads of time reminding yourself to do it later. You can even play a game and reward yourself every time you finish a mini task.

  7. Use checklists for everything and save them so they can become templates for the next time you have to do that. Preparing for a meeting, traveling and packing, a work project, etc.

  8. Take a break! Your muscles (brain muscles included) only grow during the resting period. Taking a break to disconnect at least once a week for a few hours will save you from spending sick days throughout the week and will keep you at your most productive, high-performing self.

Pantene’s new Waterless Collection is a welcome new addition to my quick beauty routine. Clean hair, soft as air — that’s how I feel about the Pantene Cheat Day Dry Shampoo Foam. The dry shampoo foam blend versus a spray actually makes my hair feel much more nourished than ones I’ve used before. It’s truly one of the best dry shampoos I’ve tried. The sulfate and paraben-free, non-drying foam softens while it cleanses. It’s like the quick reset button on your style. To use, shake the can well and dispense a small amount into your fingertips. Section your hair and start with a small amount. Apply to DRY hair at the roots and rub it in.

Need to give my curls a little bounce before I rush out the door? The Pantene Curl Affair Curl Reshaping Cream is a great compliment to my natural bounce. This curl enhancer has Argan Oil which for my hair always adds a protective layer of hydration to keep my hair smooth. It is also free from drying alcohols, parabens, and sulfates. There are two ways to use this product – to reshape curls, twist or scrunch through dry hair. For softly defined curls, apply to damp hair and diffuse or air dry.

And, finally, the product I didn’t realize I needed: the Pantene Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist! I hadn’t been incorporating a dry conditioner spray into my routine, but this gives me that silky look I’ve always admired, plus it helps keep frizz at bay for 24 hours. Think of this product as a mixture between a leave-in conditioner and styling spray. You simply spray at the ends of your hair from 6-8 inches away and you’re good to go.

All these products take no more than a few minutes to get on and run out the door. So I can spend more time being a #girlboss and less time fighting my hair. Have you tried these, yet? Any other time saving tips I missed?
