Small Creators Are Winners Too
Stop believing that you don’t have impact or worth because you are a small influencer!
Your follower count doesn’t make you a better or worse creator than someone else. It’s called a ~vanity~ metric for a reason. Because, sure, it’s nice to have and pretty to look at but it’s not what makes or breaks you.
In fact, the majority of influencer marketing dollars spent by brands went to MICRO-influencers last year (less than 100,000 followers) and it was one of the biggest years for NANO-influencers (less than 10,000 followers).
How did they do it? Fostering COMMUNITY and knowing the stats and skills that make then WIN.
Here are some examples of what may make a “small creator” a winner. Lean into them more and shift that mindset.
1. Do you have professional photography skills to offer?
2. Is your engagement rate above 3%?
3. Do your affiliate platform numbers show your audience loves to shop and actually converts?
4. Are you a professional food or clothes stylist?
5. Got a newsletter with thousands of people?
6. Are you good at video and able to produce a solid product review or testimonial clip?
7. Are you reaching more than 15% of your own audience with each post?
Remember that more followers DOES NOT EQUAL more success.
